Privacy Policy
How Botex may process information when you use the bot.
01Overview
This page explains how Botex may process information when used on Discord. Publish this policy only after verifying that the description matches the bot’s actual code and settings.
02Information the Bot May Process
When handling Discord commands, Botex may receive information supplied by Discord, such as user IDs, server and channel IDs, command names/text, and command options. Music commands may process search queries or links submitted by users.
This template does not confirm that all the information listed above is stored. If the bot uses a database, logs, or persistent history, specify the exact data retained and why it is retained.
03How Information Is Used
Information is used as needed to process commands, provide bot features, troubleshoot issues, and prevent misuse. Do not claim that information is never stored without checking the code and hosting settings.
04Sharing and Third-Party Services
Discord processes information under its own privacy policy. If Botex uses external music services, APIs, hosting, or logging services, using those services may involve transferring technical data to them under their respective policies.
05Retention and Deletion
Retention periods depend on whether the bot or hosting provider records commands, errors, or other events. Before publishing, state the actual retention periods and how users may request deletion, where applicable.
06Children’s Privacy
Botex is not intended to collect children’s personal information. If you believe information was provided inappropriately, contact the bot operator.
07Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when features, code, or data processing practices change. The new version will be published on this page.
08Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Botex administrator/operator through the official Discord support server.
Important before publishing: review the bot code, database, hosting logs, and APIs used. Replace imprecise sections with specific information and add a contact method you monitor regularly. This is an initial template, not legal advice.
